NPSC Data-Informed Community Engagement Projects
NPSC supports community-led, data-informed public safety projects that promote collaboration among community partners and the Newark Police Division to address crime and quality-of-life concerns in micro-places where they are most concentrated. These place-based initiatives combine data, research, and local lived experience to better understand community challenges and develop tailored solutions. By leveraging partnerships, coordination, and evidence-informed strategies, these efforts work to prevent crime, improve neighborhood conditions, and address factors that contribute to public safety concerns. These collaborative projects have demonstrated success in reducing crime and advancing safer, healthier communities.
