Pilar Larroulet is an Assistant Professor at the School of Criminal Justice at Rutgers University–Newark. She holds a Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, and her research focuses on incarceration, reentry, gender, and the life-course in Latin America and the United States. Prior to joining Rutgers, she was on the faculty at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has actively advised government bodies on criminal justice policy and gender-based violence.
