Beautification and repurposing of vacant lots in Newark’s South Ward (NCS & SWCA)

Safe Corridor across Bergen Street Newark Community Solutions – Newark Community Solutions and the South Ward Children’s Alliance are engaged in repurposing vacant lots in Newark’s South Ward based on NPSC’s data analytics that inform their decision-making and problem-solving efforts at these places.

Newark Community Solutions (NCS) and the South Ward Children’s Alliance collaborated to clean and repurpose vacant lots in the highest-risk places of Newark’s South Ward. In addition to greenery, they added little free library boxes, murals, and performance stages.
