Improve safety across NCC and NHA’s affordable housing units.
Abandoned properties located in the vicinity of NCC’s low-income housing units as posing a high-risk for violent crime incidents were identified in a RTM report. Consequently, the NCC opted to purchase these vacant properties from City Hall and to repurpose these spaces.
According to NPD data, crime near NCC’s properties have dropped considerably over the last year. NCC’s Security Director is currently implementing a series of place-based interventions based on NPSC’s data analytics and insights.
